Software and applications
I build tools and applications that bring order to work, data and daily processes.
Main project website of Tomasz Gmerek
I build websites, tools and technical solutions from a practical angle. I am interested in software, electronics, automation, Apple and projects that come from a real need instead of a slide deck.
About
My name is Tomasz Gmerek. I work on programming, websites, technical solutions and projects that can actually be built, deployed and maintained.
I like building things from scratch, testing them in practice and improving weak points. I care more about usefulness and clarity than show.
Along the way I combine software, web, electronics, automation, smart home, KNX and Apple technologies. These are not separate boxes. The most interesting results appear where they start to work together.
What I do
I build tools and applications that bring order to work, data and daily processes.
I build fast websites and small web systems with focus on clarity, simple structure and practical use.
I am interested in practical hardware and technical solutions that work outside theory.
I look at home automation and smart systems through real operation, integration and everyday comfort.
I develop my own ideas, products and tools when I see a concrete problem worth solving.
Projects
This section collects current and future projects. Right now it includes BreederBase, Trip and Polski, three separate projects developed inside the gmerek.at ecosystem.
BreederBase is a growing product for breeders, mainly cat and dog breeders. It is built as a practical tool for animal records, litters, health, documents and finances.
Trip is a practical planner for shared trips for family, friends and small groups. It keeps accommodation, addresses, links, plan and notes in one place instead of scattering them across several apps.
Polski is a website for learning Polish through listening, writing and dictation. It is aimed among others at Ukrainian refugees and doctors who want to improve practical Polish step by step.
How I work
I am not interested in building things only to make the first screen look impressive. If something is worth building, it should be clear, useful and possible to grow further.
I work best where technical thinking meets practice. Sometimes it is a website, sometimes a tool, sometimes a hardware solution or automation. The rule stays the same: it has to work and make sense.
Growth
This is where more software projects, websites, tools and technical ideas will appear as I keep developing them on my own.
It is not a rigid CV and not an agency website. It is my own place on the web where I show what I do and what I am currently building.
Contact
The simplest way is to start with the projects or send an email. Contact data stays in one config file, so it can be updated later without touching the whole layout.
